Language
As you can see, this page is written in English 🇳🇿. I would hope you have a decent knowledge of English, at least capable of understanding the content here with some help from a dictionary. A large proportion of my life is in English. Given that it is an international language, studying English benefits you for a life-long time if you have a solid grasp.
I am a native speaker of Chinese 🇨🇳. It will be mutual respect if both of us have an interest in learning each other's mother tongue, maybe starting as a hobby. I believe language contains culture. We can find common ground better if we understand the thinking patterns of each other.
Besides, I also speak a fair amount of Japanese 🇯🇵. Right now, it is sufficient for daily communication and I may consider improving it to academic/technological proficiency. It is a huge plus if you know it already.
Born and Breed
I was born in Mainland China 🇨🇳, and am residing in New Zealand 🇳🇿. Culturally speaking, I am a very westernized Chinese with communication skills in both oriental and occidental worlds. And hopefully, I can spend the rest of my life exploring more mesmerizing cultures on our beautiful earth.
Academic and Industrial

In short, I am a PhD student in Computer System Engineering 💻, Master in Finance 📈 and Bachelor in Business 💼. I used to work as a Data Engineer and Performance Analyst. And I participated in some cryptocurrency activities. Most of my time was spent in techy fields, maybe you will find it fascinating too!

💭 Philosophy
Interests and Hobbies
I felt I was a boring person for a long time. Always hard to self-label a hobby until I realize that what I enjoy is dabbling in something new. I spent tons of time picking up weird stuff such as Toki Pona, Blockchain, Psychology, History, Philosophy, etc. You can also tell from my education background. I took accounting and derivative courses when during my bachelor study, therefore I ended up with Finance as my master degree major. I learned blockchain and statistics as sidetracks so I could enter a PhD in Computer afterward. I may study new fields with you together so that our shared memory is not only fun but also knowledgeable. How cool is that!
Travel
I know people tend to get busier as they age, but I still prioritize travel at the top of my list. Our mind is lazy. We use stereotypes to simplify our way of thinking. One of the most efficient ways to break free from confinement is to acknowledge the rationale behind the existence of difference.

Religion
I am an atheist and don't fight against the idea of pantheism or an omniscient and omnipotent presence. Your moral standard might come from a particular religion or guidance, but it has to be non-obligatory. I reserve my right to decline conversion. I hope we can discuss openly in case of any conflict between religious discipline and modern society,
So...do talk to me if you follow any religion piously, about your beliefs and commandments. Because most religious schools avoid philosophy as part of the curriculum, I also need a fundamental understanding of your values.
Gender Equality
Feminism should be supported. Not the one asking for privileges but the one aiming to create a fairer environment for a woman to survive and achieve. I don't believe certain types of chores and responsibilities should fall under a specific gender. We will still have great control of our personal life. Want to trip on your own? Pursuing demanding challenges in the workspace? Starting a small business with your savings? It's all up to you.

Learning Session

I will invite you for a small session to share our expectations in a relationship. It can be anything you want to talk about. We might be born in very different backgrounds, which naturally brought us diverse instincts and values. On the one hand, a session opens an excellent opportunity for us to learn about what each other craves or fears so that we can better ourselves in completing each other. On the other hand, it helps to prevent us from creating a "False Self" in the infatuation period, which could damage the relationship in the long run.

Dating
For me, having fun is a plus. I value more about staying together, about getting used to another person's existence. Want to drive to a small town for a camping weekend? Looking to start a bonfire by the beach on Friday night? Great, bring it up! If nothing is in your mind, inviting each other to enter the routine life is also a great practice. Often cook a big pack of food on Sunday afternoons? Or regularly do sports on Tuesday mornings? They are all excellent initiatives to strengthen a relationship.
Communication
It is impossible that we have no friction. A principle here is that bad communication is better than no communication. I aim to create an environment that enables us to easily express our negative feelings. Catharsis is allowed but should not be the end goal. A standard communication process includes issue identification, consensus reaching, and rule codification.
